The JHS Tidewater may be the easiest way to add authentic-sounding vintage amp tremolo to your rig. If you have ever ridden the sonic waves of a vintage Fender blackface or Vox tremolo, you know how much this subtle effect adds to your sound. But unfortunately, modern amps never come close to that vintage sound, so JHS devised the Tidewater: a simple, pedalboard-friendly device that delivers that beloved amp tremolo with warmth and character you would only expect from a vintage amp.

The Tidewater combines simple controls with a small footprint, which makes it easy to add to any rig. The Volume control allows you to set the overall volume at unity, below unity, or above unity for a boosted tone. With the Mix turned all the way down, you can use the Tidewater as a warm preamp boost. The Mix knob controls the depth of the tremolo while the Speed knob controls how fast the tremolo moves, indicated by the LED next to the Speed knob.

Inside the pedal on the back of the PCB, there are three small dip-switches. When all three switches are in the down position, the available range of speed is faster. When all three switches are in the up position, the available range of speed is slower. 

This 2020 JHS Tidewater shows some scuffs and signs of use, but it functions 100% as it should. The previous owner added heavy duty velcro to the bottom, so it's ready to go one your pedalboard, too.
